I know, it’s been a LOOOONG while, so I’m just gonna get to it.
These days almost everything I eat gives me the cramps and ……… well, you don’t wanna know the rest :-). So I’ve gone off dairy but still getting the crampy stomach feeling and now I’m thinking what more can I do?
Then, I got an order for some gluten free cupcakes and it struck me…hmmmmm maybe I can try not eating gluten for a while and see how it goes? Sooooo , yours truly has been experimenting with a couple of things (till I go see the Doc and get properly checked out).
I had dinner last week with mama Jan and sister E and this appeared on the menu. Didn’t know what to make for dessert at first but as I was walking down the fruit aisle in the supermarché, I saw these curvy chics, one thing led to another and we were all covered in chocolate ;-). Pear and chocolate is a match made in heaven and sprinkling some caramelised nuts into the mix just makes for an awesome trio. It’s vegan, it’s healthy (welllllllll yeah because chocolate is totally good for you in all sorts of ways 🙂 ), it’s indulgent and it’s delish! Give it a go…. Continue reading
One of our friends, with a very special tummy was coming over from London to stay for the weekend. He could only eat gluten-free foods, no sugar, some fruits but not all, a lil’ bit of this ‘n’ a lil’ bit of that and I was EXCITED!!. I like having weird requests like this. It translates into ‘time for creativity!’. So after much wandering around Paris scavenging ingredients, I made quinoa with the sassy sauce for dinner and quinoa balls for dessert and I remember him saying this is the first time he has eaten soo much in a while and had gotten used to just having steak and chips.
