Yesterday evening, we had a women’s gathering at my Yoga School. It was Devi Puja where we got to celebrate the divine mother, Durga. The Maha goddess, the Life energy within us that calls us to remain rooted in the heart and be true no matter what life brings our way. It was a powerful gathering and beautifully set up too….just magical! I would post the pics but I don’t have any with me. If I get a hold of it I’ll attached them here.
So for our gathering we were encouraged to bring prasad (blessed food) to share with everyone and I made these babies. Decadent-looking but the easiest thing you’ll ever make. Hidden within the cocoa and melted chocolate exterior is nothing but…..**drum roll**…….Energy bites! I know right!. Mikeala, I was so thinking of you when I made these.
It was a pleasant surprise for the women at the gathering.
Conversations sounded like this:
-‘ohh I shouldn’t have one. I can’t have truffles now, I’ve eaten too much’
-Just try it
-Ohh no I shouldn’t
-C’mon go for it, you’ll be surprised.
-Hmmmm, ok then
*one bite* yum yum yum
-Looks like it’s bad but ohh sooo good for you!
-yeeeee haaaaaa 😉
Ok shall we?

Just made these now (recipe inspired by the goddess herself from her book Domestic goddess). I have a couple of ladies coming over tomorrow for a private flow and wanted to make something for us to enjoy after class. Also the fact that my moon time is a day or two away contributed a LOT to this craving 😉 Continue reading

Hello guys, I know it’s been a loooooong time but this girl has had her hands full with baby baby baby. Ma petite lover was born on 22nd March so we have been loving each other for 2 months now. Our life is now about nappies, boobies, bibs, pukes and etc etc.
So coming up for air a little bit here to give you the simplest recipe for a Vegan banana bread ever!!! I don’t have much time on my hands as I either have baby hanging off one boob or I’m knee deep in nappie heaven ;-). Therefore I’m keeping it simple but oh sooo tasty in the kitchen :-). For today we have a very easy to make and scrummy vegan banana bread.
For this you’ll need: Continue reading
I had dinner last week with mama Jan and sister E and this appeared on the menu. Didn’t know what to make for dessert at first but as I was walking down the fruit aisle in the supermarché, I saw these curvy chics, one thing led to another and we were all covered in chocolate ;-). Pear and chocolate is a match made in heaven and sprinkling some caramelised nuts into the mix just makes for an awesome trio. It’s vegan, it’s healthy (welllllllll yeah because chocolate is totally good for you in all sorts of ways 🙂 ), it’s indulgent and it’s delish! Give it a go…. Continue reading
The final order for this weekend was this chocolate bébé.
So the cake inside is a rich chocolate cake. The filling/icing is buttercream flavoured with homemade banana puree and the decorations are banana chips and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate. It got delivered yesterday and the new owners were pretty happy to see it and so was I. Now now for me to take a breather..phewwwww what a week it’s been.
The recipe for the banana puree was quite simple and can also be used as baby food. Continue reading
princess and the frog 🙂
Hii guys, christmas is almost here!! Yayyy!!!!
I got an order for a gateau au chocolat for a 6 year old girl that I had so much fun making and wanted to share it on here. I did a consultation with her and she had all these crazy little ideas (with pink and blue being her choice for the colour of the cake) that I thought it were brilliant. Today, the 1st of Dec was the special day and I (well Ben helped me carry this bad boy because my back was hurting) delivered it to her. She and her mama were very delighted to see it and so was I :-).
Sooooo here is the beauty ;-), inside is a pure decadent chocolate cake. I made the frosting using homemade strawberry coulis which I infused into the swiss meringue buttercream giving it a delicious natural fruity flavour and the blue is just vanilla flavoured buttercream.
in all her glory
boxed and ready to go 😉
